![]() ![]() You can't just give the power to anyone you almost have to retroactively figure out the person from the power. The way that the powers work in this world is that they're tied to near-death experiences. But I always was looking for someone to give this power to. I ended up just stopping for a minute to write the backstories for the gang leaders, and that's where I got the Victor and Eli story which would go on to be the series. This character had this ability to see deaths in reflective surfaces, and I loved that ability. ![]() In the first iteration of Vicious, I had as my main character a man who arrives in this city and two warring groups of people try to recruit him, the Heroes and the Villains. ![]() Schwab: It’s the very first power I ever created for the Villains universe. McConaughey has obviously navigated this successfully, but his wisdom isn’t exactly transferrable. The 'Greenlights' of the title refers to moments when the universe gives us permission to do new things reds and yellows are the things that stand in our way. These blinks tell his story as only he could tell it. Be it through memoir or Instapoetry, McConaughey pushes an ethos of learning to take your hands off the wheel. Greenlights (2020) is a guided tour into the life and mind of award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey. ![]() ![]() The bad thing, though, is that he obviously wrote it himself and seems certain that in addition to being a memoirist he’s also a certified motivational speaker and, worse, a poet. A great thing about Greenlights is that the persona never sounds like a put-on. The world is on fire, but he has got you he’s our mindful-breathing Brando. Matthew has been writing in journals since he was fifteen years old. McConaughey’s self-effacing slacker-cool attitude, which lets him casually drop a few thousand on the hapless Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl, has made him an ideal masculine movie hero for our anxious moment. Greenlights: Your Journal, Your Journey is a guided companion to the 1 New York Times bestselling memoir Greenlights, filled with prompts, pithy quotes, adages, outlaw wisdom, and advice on how to live with greater satisfaction from Matthew McConaughey. ![]() ![]() The wild grass hides the snake in its charlatan schemes. Shakespeare has written many renowned stories from Romeo and Juliet, the story of two lovers from different worlds, to the story of Othello “The Moor of Venice”, as he brings classical themes together like racism and jealously. Macbeth was just one of his many classic plays. William Shakespeare, the profound writer, poet and playwright is considered the all time best English language writer. ![]() The themes of ambition and ruthless power bring out the true colors of the anti-hero. In my undergrad literature classes, we spent a lot of time discussing how agency is what separates our heroes from secondary characters.
